Frequently asked questions
How do I resize an image without stretching it?
Leave Keep aspect ratio enabled. When you edit a dimension, the other is calculated from the selected image. Each image fits within the resulting width and height limits. Turn the lock off only if you want to stretch the image to exact dimensions.
Can I resize multiple images at once?
Yes. Add up to 20 images and apply the same settings to all of them. With the aspect ratio locked, images with different proportions may have different output dimensions. Check each image's size before resizing, then download the results individually or together as a ZIP.
Does resizing reduce image quality?
Making an image smaller removes pixels. Enlarging it adds interpolated pixels and may look softer; this tool does not use AI to restore detail. JPEG and WebP quality settings can also affect the result. Review the resized image before downloading.
Can I resize an image to a specific KB or MB size?
This tool changes pixel dimensions, not a target file size. The final size depends on the image content, output format, and quality setting. The actual file size is shown after resizing.
Which formats are supported?
You can add JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and HEIF files, up to 10 MB each. Download as JPG, PNG or WebP. Animated PNG or WebP files are exported as a still image; animation is not preserved. GIF, SVG and other input formats are not supported.
Will a transparent background stay transparent?
Choose PNG or WebP to retain transparency. JPEG does not support transparent pixels, so they are filled with the background color you select when choosing JPEG output.
What are the output size limits?
Each output can be up to 8,192 pixels wide or high, with a maximum of about 33.5 million pixels in total. Percentage resizing supports 1% to 400%, within those output limits. Very large images may still exceed the memory available on your device.
